Lawrence Metzger Obituary
Passed away unexpectedly in Petaluma on October 27, 2012, surrounded by his family. A 3 year resident of Plumas Lake, CA.
Cherished husband of Laycie Metzger of Plumas Lakes, CA. Devoted father of Colby, Chase, and Adam Metzger all of Aromas, CA, Savannah Metzger, Shelby Bird both of Plumas Lake, and the late Ashlyn Metzger. Loving son of Larry and Elise Metzger of Cloverdale and Christine and Neal Lewis of Lincoln, CA. Adored grandson of Elsie Anderson and Mary Blythe Howland. Dear brother of Jason (Michon) Metzger of Rocklin, CA and Sarah (Scott Dennis) Metzger of Petaluma. Survived by the mother of his sons; Christine Avila of Aromas, CA, and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Larry assisted at Arboga Elementary School in his daughters pre- school class creating projects; bird houses, hearts for Valentine's Day, Christmas ornaments, and pumpkin ornaments. Larry also donated a lot of his time at the Ride to Walk Foundation.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Inurnment: Sequel Cemetery, Soquel, CA. Family assisted by Parent- Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, (707) 763-4131.

Laycie......My thoughts have been with you from the very beginning of your loss..... I'm still in shock and disbelief....... Still trying to deal with another "loss" of a dear friend a few weeks before your great loss..... I can't wait embrace you and let tell you....My "friend..it will take some time" but you will smile again......So much Love goes out to you and your daughters....
