Lisa Littlejohn Obituary

February 7, 1962 - September 29, 2023

Lisa was born in Yuba City at Fremont Hospital to John B. Littlejohn and Kathleen M. Littlejohn. She attended Barry School, Yuba City H.S. and Yuba College. She grew up on ranches and loved all animals, joining 4-H and specializing in sheep.

She was a deeply spiritual person whose passion always was to help people. At 16 (and for several years after), she volunteered at Fremont Hospital as a "Candy Striper," delivering snacks and drinks to patients and volunteering in the gift shop.

Interested in the medical field, she became a Registered Dental Asst. (RDA), working with Dr. Robert Wickum in Yuba City and a Certified Nurses Aid (CNA) while studying medical terminology and medical coding/billing. During this time, she worked at the Candy Box and Gilpatric Interiors. She loved her time there working with her cousin Sue Gilpatric, especially going on buying trips with her. She was employed 12 years in Marysville at The Scott Center for Physical Therapy and 7 years at Steps To Empower People (S.T.E.P.).

In her time off, she enjoyed live concerts, especially Tina Turner, Cher and Cyndi Lauper. Her greatest joy in life was being a Mom to her only child, Brian D. Littlejohn, born 1988. As a single mom, she worked hard to give him a great life. He was her pride and love and joy.

From age 28, Lisa had Lupus. She valiantly managed the disease for 33 years and passed from complications. She is deeply missed, especially by her family.

A Celebration of Lisa's life will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2023. A reception will follow on site.

Lisa was a beautiful person in and out. She was also very kind and had a great sense of humor. She comes from a wonderful family and I know how deeply they loved her. I also know she is with the Lord and her loved ones who have already passed. May her memory always be a blessing to the loved ones who still remain in the Early Realm. My deepest condolences to her mother Kathy, Brother Lloyd and son Brian, along with the rest of her loved ones. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, The Perin family.

To My Beautiful Sister
You were the kindest person and you loved your family dearly.
I will miss our talks and your laugh.
You fought the good fight and the Lord knew you were tired.
Even though l know your at rest my heart is broken.
You were a wonderful daughter, sister, and mother but more importantly you were a faithful follower of your Lord Jesus Christ in whose arms you now find rest.
Until Our Lords return and we meet again...
Love Always
Chuck

What I remember most about Aunt Lisa was her unwavering kindness. She always found ways to laugh & make light of situations. A silly memory I have is that she always had our favorite ice blue kool-aid when we came over. I loved going over to their place. She was so thoughtful and was so much fun to be around. She will forever be remembered as a shining example of a kind and loving soul. Thank you for the beautiful memories and the love you shared with all of us. We will miss you but will see you again in Heaven for all of eternity. Love you, Aunt Lisa.

My heart goes out to Lloyd and his family at this time. He has stay so very loyal to his sister and her battle with her lupus. I never had the honor to meet Lisa but from the many memories Lloyd has shared with me and how proud of his sister he was I felt like I knew her. Lisa´s pain and suffering has ended and I wish her well and a safe journey to meet with her father John on the side where it is beautiful and peaceful, in his arms.
