Marc Barnum Obituary

Marc Andrew Barnum (Big Red), 57, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on October 11, 2023. He lived in Nampa, Idaho, with his wife, Lydia and their two children, Andrea and Spencer. He was so proud that he escaped California in 2022 and the mess created by the politicians!

Marc was born on June 18, 1966, in Grass Valley, California, to Dallas and Randi Barnum. Marc grew up in Loma Rica and attended Marysville High School. He married the love of his life, Lydia Blunt on September 10, 1994. They were blessed with two amazing children.

He loved working in his yard and helping others with their garden needs as well. Marc loved talking to others and strangers were just friends he hadn't met. There was never a dull (or quiet) moment when Marc was around.

Marc gave life even in his death. He was an organ donor.

Marc was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Barnum. He is survived by his wife, Lydia; two children, Andrea and Spencer; his mother, Randi (Cookie) Flurry; stepfather, Jim Flurry; 3 brothers, Jon Barnum (LaNette), Scott Barnum (Gina), and Greg Flurry; one sister, Jennifer Landrum (Scott); and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life held at Loma Rica Community Church (11234 Loma Rica Road) on November 18th at 1:00. A luncheon will follow at the Loma Rica Lyon's Club.

Marc was always a joy to be around. I enjoyed our talks about our kids and his time growing up. He had an infectious personality that would put a smile on your face. He was a great storyteller and always had a new story to share. Rest in peace my friend

The first interaction I had with Marc was when he was picking up Spencer from my house after a group project for school. He talked to me for a bit and cracked a couple jokes. Had me laughing the whole time. He was also very kind and offered to help me find a new car. Even said he´d help me learn to drive because I didn´t have anyone to teach me. He was a true blessing to this world and he will be missed. Anytime I was around him he had me laughing and smiling. I´m thankful to have gotten to meet and know him.
