Maria Scribner Obituary

Riza passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer. She was born and raised in the Philippines but has lived in California the past 18 years.
Riza is survived by her devoted husband, Robert, and her loving children, Michael Acob (of Virginia), Steven and Rachelle. She also has extended family throughout California, in Virginia and the Philippines.
She worked at Walmart in Yuba City the past 7 years where she made many wonderful friends. Riza was reliable, generous and sincere. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Whether they were watching movies together, playing games or traveling to Fort Bragg or Lake Tahoe she was happy and content just being together.
Riza was an excellent cook who loved trying new recipes. She also enjoyed various craft projects and definitely had a "green thumb". She was always proud of her amazing vegetable garden and loved tending to her beautiful flowers. Her favorite ones were the colorful hydrangeas.
A private memorial service was held on July 2, 2012. Donations in Riza's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or Sutter North Hospice.

We will miss Riza at Walmart. She was a joy and always knew how to please a customer. To young to be gone! The angels will enjoy her company for the ages.

I love you and am gonna miss you my friend! I will continue to pray for your family, and keep an eye on Steven!LOL! Steven if you or sister ever need anything or anyone to share with I am here for you. Even if you just want to come hang out with the twins.

This is so sad Riza was such a fun caring person she always talked about her kids,Hubby and friends! I miss her smile! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family!

I came to know Riza through her position at WalMart. Always a beautiful smile and wonderful happy personality. My condolences to you, her family, may you find peace in knowing she was so special to so many that knew her.

My condolences to the Scribner family. I knew Riza during my time at the Yuba City Wal Mart. She always had a smile to share and would light up the room during our conversations. RIP Ms Riza,

My prayers are with her family and I be always think of her.She lover it when I brought her fish from my trip, and she loved her Redwood burl.We always talked about how much we loved Fort Bragg, and our kids.Riza we will miss you.
