My deepest sympathy to Mark's family and friends. I met Mark as a patient in our medical office. He had an infectious smile, always seemed so positive. I can only imagine the abundance of beautiful memories he left behind. Truly sorry for your loss-Leti

Mark was an exceptional teacher and mentor. He always had time to answer a question or help with a difficult decision. He will be missed but not forgotten.

I met Mark at a SVABO meeting in the early 2000s, I was the Industry Member on the Board. I had recently joined SVABO and didn't know to many people in the group yet. I introduced myself to Mark and the next thing I knew, I was playing golf at Plumas Lake with him and we were friends. It was seamless, he was one of the most genuine people, easy to talk to, and I felt like we'd been friends for years. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and Mark made the best of his first impressions, he was a great person to be with, but you better bring your "A" game because he would leave you in the dust. He had a great zest for life, and when you were with him you did too. I'll miss that.

So sorry to hear of Mark´s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Mark and Paul for many years as they led exemplary courses through CALcasp for AIA Central Valley. Mark´s expertise was amazing-and his engagement with the attendees was always so fun to witness. I greatly enjoyed my interactions with Mark over the years before and after the sessions. He always spoke so warmly of his family and friends. Sending love and comfort.

As a new architect to the Sacramento area back in 2012, through the AIA Sac Chapter I attended my first CA Accessibility Seminar presented by Mark and his partner at the time, Paul. It was the most informative and fun accessible course I have ever taken. To this day, I still refer to Mark's manuals and advice. He was not only brilliant, but a kind person. He will be greatly missed.

Mark forever changed my life and I will always be grateful to him. I just want to say thank you to Mark for giving me an opportunity and always pushing me and believing in me. Mark taught me more than just about accessibility. He taught me about work ethic, being a professional, and most importantly...he taught me to "drink your coffee black, that way wherever you go they have it the way you like it!" Although I met Mark through a CalCasp training with his business partner Paul, my relationship with Mark grew to be a friendship that I truly cherished. I saw Mark as a father figure that I could always reach out to and ask for advice or just talk about how he was beating his buddies on his Wednesday golf sessions. As I look at the successes in my life, I know that I owe a huge part to him. Thank you boss, I will miss you.
