Mary Widener Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Widener, 79, passed away in Live Oak, CA, on December 28, 2020. Born on August 12, 1941, in Tulsa, OK, Mary was the daughter of the late Marvin and Mabel Ray. She married Raymond Widener on November 7, 1958, and they had 5 children.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond of 62 years; her children: Joe and Bryanna Widener, Cindy and Bryan Brown, Kenny and Kim Widener, Beth and Fred Wood, Jeff and Misty Widener; 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered as a selfless wife and mother, who was always willing to help others. She was a great cook known for her fried potatoes, a detailed and careful housekeeper, and enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

She was faithful to God, her husband and family. She was a woman of prayer and a bible reader. Memories of her spunk and great sarcasm will always bring a smile to our hearts. A quick come back and a quick laugh could be expected from her.

The Memorial service will be held at the Live Oak Cemetery on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, at 11 am. The arrangements will be conducted by Holycross Funeral Home in Yuba City.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
