Melvin Purbaugh Obituary
He was born to George Dewey Purbaugh, and Agnes Jessie Kreuscher on June 18, 1939, in Pasadena, CA.
He graduated from East Nicolaus High School and attended Yuba College. He excelled and broke records in track, football and played the trumpet in band. He grew up working on the family dairy farm then worked and retired from PacBell/AT&T.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, of Rio Oso, CA; in laws, Mabel and Cecil Rice, of Nicolaus, CA; daughter, Barbara Ann; half brothers, Oliver Purbaugh, Louis Purbaugh; and half sister, Mabel Toothaker.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Helen Purbaugh; children, Suzanne (Tammy) Carter, Randy Purbaugh, Heidi (Brad) Guynes, Johnathon Purbaugh; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
