Peggy Owens Obituary

Peggy Ann Owens
Age 69 passed away October 20th at Rideout Hospital surrounded by her family. Born March 24, 1942 in Marysville, CA. Peggy met her husband, Kenneth Owens in 1956 when he was working for her step-dad Elmer Hunt and they were later married on June 16th 1960. Peggy moved out of the Olivehurst area for several years to follow Ken who went into the army. Peggy became a mother in 1968 and returned to Olivehurst to live and raise a family in 1969.

Peggy was always full of life and was a fun loving person. She was known to many as the "Turtle Lady", known to some as the "Candy Lady", but known to most as "Grandma Peggy". Peggy spent her life touching other peoples lives in a positive way. When Facebook hit the internet, Peggy spent hours chatting with old friends, relatives and her granddaughters. Peggy was the person that kept the family and friends in contact with each other. Peggy touched many people's lives with her fun loving and generous personality and will be missed greatly.

Peggy is survived by her husband Kenneth Owens, Olivehurst; son Kenneth Owens Jr. (Angie), Rathdrum, Idaho; and two granddaughters Kacie and Brianna Owens. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother and father Viola and Junior Nelson and brother Harold Nelson.

I love how she never gave up! She was a fighter. She tried her hardest for herself but yet her loved ones. She didn't just give up and say this is too hard, she wanted to live. And in all reality she did live. She isn't stuck in home for the rest of her life she is happy now and I'm sure she wants us to be. We love you grandma Peggy I will never forget you. ?
