Shirley Gabhart Obituary
Shirley Gabhart, 78, of Elk Grove, California, passed away on July 5, 2024. Born to Otto and Marie Scheiber of Nicolaus, California, on July 18, 1945, in Sacramento, California, Shirley's life was filled with love, dedication, and joy.
She began her educational journey in a one-room schoolhouse in Nicolaus, California, later graduating from East Nicolaus High School in 1964. In 1967, she married Dr. Michael Gabhart, and together they built a beautiful life, blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.
Shirley was known for her passion for all things Swiss, dancing, her love for golfing, and most of all her admiration and love of family. She spent many years on the Marcum-Illinois grammar school board. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dr. Michael Gabhart of Elk Grove; her brother, Ron Scheiber of Nicolaus, CA; her daughter, Lori Gabhart Mausehund (Ryan) of Hillsborough, CA; her sons, Mark Gabhart of Elk Grove, CA, and Jason Gabhart (Kathryn) of Loomis, CA; and her beloved grandchildren: Tyler, Olivia, and Sophia Mausehund of Hillsborough, CA, Caleb and Kiera Gabhart of Elk Grove, CA, and William, Sadie, and Audrey Gabhart of Loomis, CA.
Her spirit, warmth, and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Rosary will be July 19, 2024, 6pm at Chapel of The Twin Cities in Yuba City
A Funeral Mass July 20, 2024, 10:30am at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Marcum Road in Nicolaus. Graveside to follow at the Nicolaus Cemetery.
Potluck reception immediately following graveside at River Oaks Golf Club in Nicolaus.
If you would like to bring a salad (any type is fine) or dessert, please bring it between 9:00am - 10:30am at River Oaks. Diane Fales will be there to receive. Thank you!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SSRA pool, PO Box 225, Nicolaus, CA 95659.

Mike and family. Jan and I are so sad to hear of Shirley´s passing. We have so many good memories of her gentle Christian kindness and smile connecting with her when our offices were neighbors at the Fremont Medical Plaza. Shirley was a very vibrant person. She had a radiant smile that would light up a room. Her genuinely kind loving nature was admired by so many. She was a doting wife, mother, grandmother,
and friend. She made the world a better place. We are going to miss her so much!

Shirley´s zest for life was both inspiring and fun! I have never know such a strong will to power through health issues and her can do attitude. I so loved playing golf with her and
those times we got together for lunch. John and I will miss you and your welcoming ways good heart, love of God and that beautiful smile.
