Thomas P. Cohiles

Thomas P Cohiles, 68, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, godfather and friend passed from this life into heavenly glory in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ early in the afternoon of November 15, 2016 after battling cancer.

Tom graduated from Chico State University with a degree in Psychology. He worked as a Deputy Probation Officer for Yuba County, before going to work for Capitol Beverage Industry and Del Monte Foods before retiring. Tom will be greatly missed by the countless adults and children who lives he touched with his warm enthusiastic, humorous manner as Vacation Bible School Game Director at Grace Lutheran Church. He was the church president for several years because of his great leadership skills.

He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years Wendy Cohiles, and his sister Helen Cohiles-Perkins and husband Loran Perkins of Marysville, CA.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 5, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Ford Ave., in Gridley, CA. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the memorial fund of Grace Lutheran Church or Rideout Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel 530-846-2138.
