Victoria Contente Obituary
Victoria Ann Contente, 77, a fifth-generation Californian, teacher, health services administrator, grant writer and researcher, passed peacefully on January 20th 2022.
Born in Sacramento, Victoria graduated from Encina High School, the University of Utah and received two master's in Education from Sacramento State University. She taught ESL classes to Chinese-speaking students and was sent by the Elk Grove School District to study in Hong Kong.
A life-long learner with a deep interest in other cultures and her own family history, she volunteered as a docent in the California State Library genealogy room, was a member of NSDAR and NDGW Parlor 111, as well as several book clubs, most dearly the Coffee Aunties.
Victoria is survived by her adored daughter, Maio Martinez; niece, Tina McNeal; nephew, Jason Ehrlich; as well as a wide circle of friends.
A memorial will be held April 16th 2022, at 1pm at the Browns Valley Cemetery.
