CAROL JEAN NORDWALL Marlow: Carol Jean Nordwall, 75, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Visitation will be available to the public from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Eastside Baptist Church, with Lead Pastor Brian Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services. Carol was born Friday, February 17, 1950 in Kingston, Oklahoma to Ray Edward Vinson Jr. and Margaret Sue (Smith) Vinson. She grew up in the Ardmore area where she attended school. Carol married Kurt Nordwall in St. Petersburg, Florida on November 23, 1990, and they enjoyed every day of their 35 years together. They spent time living in Springer, Oklahoma before planting their roots in Marlow in 1997. Carol worked as a long-haul trucker for Interstate Distribution. Carol liked traveling, and she and Kurt put thousands of miles behind them together, mostly on their motorcycle. Carol also liked staying active. She could often be found working in her yard and volunteering at her church. Carol was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow since July 20, 2008. Her presence will be deeply missed in the lives of her family, friends, and community. Carol is survived by her husband, Kurt Nordwall; sons, Ronald Pelton, Chris Pelton, Chad Nordwall, Jason Nordwall, and Kyle Nordwall; two grandchildren; her dear friend, Margarette Alexander; her church family at Eastside Baptist; and her dog, Maggie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Margaret Vinson; her brother, Johnny Vinson; and her sister, Juanita Sue Vinson. Pallbearers will be: Jason Nordwall, Rowan Nordwall, Hudson Nordwall, Randy Coast, Mike Bernhardt, and Craig Bickerstaff.
