DARLA CAMILLE THOMPSON Funeral services for Darla Camille Thompson will be held Tuesday September 2, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. She was the daughter of E.W. Thompson, Jr., and Rebecca Gilmore, and was born in Ardmore on Thursday December 19, 1957, and died Friday August 29, 2025, in Madill, Oklahoma at the age 67 years, 8 months and 10 days. Darla was a proud graduate of Mannsville Elementary School and Dickson High School; she worked with First National Bank; Samedan Oil Corporation; and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services before retiring. At each, she developed and treasured life-long friendships and enjoyed helping every person that crossed her path. Darla was an accomplished seamstress; musician and vocalist; and the family keeper of photographs and scrapbooks. Her happiest occasions were attending the activities of nieces and nephews, such as football, basketball, dance recitals & theatrical performances, track meets, and wrestling matches. Aunt Darla was their greatest encourager and supporter! She was also a loyal fan of University of Oklahoma football and the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team, knowing each player's name and stats. "Boomer Sooner & Go Thunder!" Surviving is her mother Rebecca Thompson, brothers Eddie Willis, Fleet Thompson, and sisters Debra Vaughn and Tania Felts. Also, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookside Nursing Center in Madill, Oklahoma for their kind care.
