DAVID YORK Obituary

DAVID YORK A memorial service for David York is scheduled for Friday, October 3rd at 12:00 p.m. at the Seaman First Class Billy Turner Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Dorothy Beames officiating. David Edwin York was born December 28, 1945 to Carrie and Nathan York in Amarillo, TX. He passed from this life on September 29, 2025 at the age of 79. David graduated from Ada High School in the class of 1963. Upon graduation he attended East Central University. On June 16, 1966 he married the love of his life, Sharon York. Before this marriage he was a proud member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War in the Air America Program, which he loved to tell stories of all his experiences in Thailand and Laos. Upon returning home he and his wife moved to Ardmore and worked at the Michelin Plant for 35 years that he was proud of. He also had a deep love for gardening, his pets, and OU football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Nathan York; his brother Don Ellis, and his sister Pat Michell. He is survived by his wife Sharon York; sons Daniel York and his wife Kristie and son Kyle York; grandchildren Jack, Luke York and Abby and Reagan Chaney. Honorary pallbearers are JT DeBerry, Cooper DeBerry, John Ashlock, Eric Reece, Tony Reece, Shane Demello, and Todd Craig. Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice or any Veterans charity of your choice. Online condolences can be made at www.craddockfuneralhome.com
