ESTHER ELAINE SCOTT Esther Elaine Scott was born on April 24, 1946, in West Grove, Pennsylvania to Robert and Novella Scott. Elaine passed from this life on April 22, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a long-time resident of Waurika and served on the Waurika school board for several years. Elaine attended college after her children graduated from high school earning both a bachelor's degree and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma. In later years, she lived in Healdton and Ringling where she maintained an elder law practice. She found her greatest joy in serving others whether as an attorney or by faithfully giving back to her community by serving on the Healdton Hospital Board and the Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service Board. Elaine is survived by her sons, Jon Scott of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jeff Scott of Maple Grove, Minnesota, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Donations can be made to Frontier Hospice. A funeral service for Elaine will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, with Jeff Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
