Jean D. Lee, 90, born on June 14, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas to Eugene D. Bell and Iza Louella (Johnson) Bell passed from this life on February 24, 2026 in Ardmore, OK.
Following the death of her mother, Jean was lovingly raised from the age of 17 months by her maternal grandparents, John Franklin Johnson and Ether (Burton) Johnson.
On December 14, 1951 Jean married Clifford J. Lee in Marietta, Oklahoma. They were blessed with 10 children and shared 58 years of marriage before Clifford's passing in 2010.
Jean possessed a deep love for children, dedicating many years of her life as a childcare provider. She first worked at Calvary Day Nursery and later at Gloria Ainsworth Child Care Center.
Before losing her sight, Jean found joy in reading, sewing, and gardening.
Central to Jean's life was her unwavering faith in and love of God, followed closely by her profound love for her family. She took immense pride in all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her children: Bradley Lee and wife Shaun of Edmond, OK; Michael Lee and wife Chi Dinh of Oklahoma City, OK; Karrie Lee of Ardmore, OK; Travis Lee of Ardmore, OK; Angela McMillan and husband Alan of Edmond, OK; Lorrie Harper and husband Ronald of Ardmore, OK; Katrina Lee-Doggett and husband Kevin Doggett of Edmond, OK; Julie Lee of Edmond, OK; grandchildren: Mauri Riggs of Yukon, OK; Morgan Lee and wife Jenna of Springer, OK; Jessica Gilbert and husband Darren of Garber, OK; Kyle Harper and wife Barbara of Harrisburg, AR; Sarah Bowler and husband Kyle of Mississauga, Ontario; Hillary Lee of Lone Gove, OK; Alec Lee of Singapore; Hannah DePhillips and husband A.J. of Edmond, OK; Stormie Lee and husband Geno Vazquez Ruiz of Lavon, TX; Brandie Bollman and husband James of Ardmore, OK; Jacob Lee of Edmond, OK; and 19 great-grand children: Devin, Rylin, Mikayla, Gabriella, Jesse, Kenneth, Shooter, Klaire, Jessie, Cassidy, Luke, Noah, Delilah, Magnolia, Tobias, Nora, Cloie, Davin, and Paislie.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lee; her daughter, LaJuana Carter; and her son, Harlan Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, February 28, 2026, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home with Kyle Bowler officiating. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Morgan Lee, Kyle Harper, Alec Lee, Darren Gilbert, A.J. DePhillips, and Geno Vazquez Ruiz.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening, from 6 pm to 8 pm, February 27, 2026, at Griffin - Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
