JIMMY EDWARD JETER A celebration of life service for Jimmy Edward Jeter will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Leroy Holman officiating. Jimmy was born February 24, 1962 in Monrovia, California. He was the son of John Edward and Margaret Ernestine Sykes Jeter. He passed away on October 20, 2025 in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Jimmy graduated from Tishomingo High School, class of 1980 and went on to earn his bachelor of science in mathematics from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He was employed by Michelin North America since 1982, working both in Ardmore and Greenville, South Carolina. He was the Uniformity Methods Senior Engineer. He enjoyed attending his children's activities and events and celebrating their milestones. He loved watching college football, especially rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners; listening to talk radio and news; and sharing time with his fur baby Stella. He enjoyed putting together intricate puzzles. Jimmy is survived by his parents, John and Ernestine Jeter; his children, Gage Jeter and husband Rob; Grant Jeter and wife Mariah; Samantha Jeter and Emilia Jeter; the mothers of his children, Joni Jeter and Julia Jeter; grandchildren Ja'kiyas; Ivyaniah; Ka'viyas; Ragan and River; sisters, Deanne Garrett and Kelly Greathouse and husband Larry; his brother, John David Higgins and wife Laveda along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hershel and Opal Sykes and Ed an Emma Jeter as well as a brother-in-law Jerry "Jug" Garrett.
