Memorial Services for Julie Lynn Vernon-French will be held at 11:00 AM Friday October 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating and Stephen Wiese will be a guest speaker.
Julie was born Thursday June 15, 1961, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to James Ralph and Betty Jo (Reid) Vernon and died Saturday September 27, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 12 days.
Julie was an educator, earning her master's degree and taught science for over 25 years at Lone Grove High School where she impacted the lives of countless students. For many years she was a Woman's Sunday School Teacher at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore. She was a devoted wife of nearly 50 years; she and Greg had been together since they were 15 years old. Her generosity and kindness were unmatched. She had an unwavering faith in God and was the biggest prayer warrior and loved Jesus with all of her heart and soul. Her and Greg loved to travel; some of her favorite places were Kauai, New Zealand and Tahiti. Her greatest attribute was that she loved her family deeply, selflessly and unconditionally. She enjoyed talking and spending time with her daughter and grandbabies and closest friends any opportunity she got.
Julie is survived by: Gregory Alan French (husband); Kate Elizabeth Henry (daughter) and Kyle Jacob Henry (son-in-law); Piper Lee Henry, Blake Elizabeth Henry & Baker Grey Henry (grandchildren); Alan Vernon (brother) and Wynema Vernon (sister-in-law); Allyson Black (niece) and Jeremy Black; Michael Black (great-nephew); Pat Vernon (brother) and Debbie Vernon (sister-in-law); Thomas Vernon (nephew); James Vernon (great-nephew).
