ANN CLOWDUS Peggy Ann Clowdus, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed from this life to her eternal home on December 1, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born March 20, 1946 to Frances Joy (Frensley) and Ben Brooks Dibrell in Ardmore, OK. Ann was a graduate of Ardmore High School class of 1964. Upon graduation she attended the University of Oklahoma, obtaining a bachelor's degree from the school of business. On April 20, 1974 she married her husband of 48 years, Don Clowdus, in Ardmore, OK. From this marriage they had two daughters, Lori and Lisa. She and Don were long-time members of the First Methodist Church of Ardmore. Together they owned and operated Arbuckle Communications for many years before passing the business on to their daughters. Ann was often found with a camera in her hands, capturing even the smallest of moments with the ones she treasured most - her family. Her greatest joy in life was being called "Nana" and keeping her four grandchildren from the time they were born and staying involved in everything they did as they grew up. She made every occasion feel special with family traditions, whether they were big or small. From baking every birthday cake, picking out the perfect hand-written card for every significant moment, making eggs and toast every time a grandkid spent the night, or even sending a text before an event - she always made sure her family felt her unwavering love. Ann had many passions and hobbies. She was an avid OU football fan and watched every game, cheering on the Sooners with family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping trips with her girls, traveling, morning coffee, bird watching, keeping up with the weather, crafting, and watching her favorite tv shows with her beloved dog, Teddy, in her lap. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Joy and Ben Dibrell, and her husband Don Clowdus. She leaves behind a family she cherished above all else: her daughter Lori Harkins and husband Shawn; daughter Lisa Pope and husband Scott; grandchildren Kaylie and Cade Harkins, and Sydney and Ian Pope all of Ardmore; brother Bill Dibrell and his wife Susan; Nephews Rob Dibrell and his wife Dana and David Dibrell; Dillon and Alexx all of Edmond. Funeral services for Peggy Ann Clowdus, 79 of Ardmore, are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, December 5th at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Dr. David Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Newport Cemetery. Her legacy of love, care, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Pallbearers are Rob Dibrell, David Dibrell, Dillon Dibrell, Terry Martin, Jared Hembree, and Jeremy Kerley. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Harkins, Mike Pope, Jeremy Harkins, Kasson Harkins, Robert Chavers and all of the Arbuckle Communications family.
