ANGELINE PIENIOZEK
Angeline Pieniozek, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2023. Born to John and Agnes Pieniozek of Bentley, Michigan. She was number 7 of eight children. She was born July 31, 1943, on the family farm. She went to Clover Switch Elementary school, then to Standish-Sterling High School. She went on to graduate from beauty school then moved to Tawas for a job, then to Flint where she spent most of her adult life. She loved doing hair and was very good at it. She moved back to the Bentley area to care for her elderly mother. She loved working in her flower garden and helping at the Standish Depot. In her later years she collected articles about the history of Bentley as far back as she could go. She made them into books that will be donated to the Standish Depot. Angeline loved Christmas, she loved to decorate the whole house with decorations she had for years, some had been gifts from family and friends and antique ornaments of her mom's. Every year she would carry on her family tradition of making Polish pierogi at Christmas with help from others. She was a faithful member of Resurrection of The Lord Catholic Church in Standish, Michigan.
Angeline is survived by her three brothers, Leo, Chet (Elenor), John (Pam) Pieniozek, many nieces and nephews that she really enjoyed watching grow up. She had a special friend, Mina Stodolak who she worked with at the Depot until Mina's passing. Angeline also had a good friend from school, Janet Pavlik. They both worked on organizing class reunions. They remained friends since high school.
Angeline was preceded in death by her parents and four of her seven siblings and spouses. Lottie (John) Pilot, Frank (Donna) Pieniozek, Stanley (Kathryn) Pieniozek, Edward (Lillian)Pieniozek, sister-in-law, Carol Pieniozek, nephews, John and Ron Pilat, David, Dale, and Philip Pieniozek and niece Linda Diane Pieniozek.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday November 7, 2023, at 11 AM at Resurrection of The Lord Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner presiding with burial in Gibson Township Cemetery, Bentley. Family will greet friends and family on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM.
