BARBARA PAPIERNIK Barbara Jane Papiernik, age 84 of Twining, MI., passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023. Barbara was born on October 16, 1939, in Davis, MI., to the late Sigmund and Madeleine (Mignot) Olszak. She was raised in Davis and graduated high school from there. She and her family settled in the Twining, MI., area and Barbara went to work for the Arenac Eastern School District as a bus driver. She was dedicated to her job and eventually retired after 27 years. When she was not working, she loved gardening, sewing, making crafts, cooking, and making formal dresses by hand for her family. Barbara is survived by her sons, Jim and Leonard: daughters, Carrie (Gary) Karasch and Laurie; grandchildren, Patrick, Shelby, Alanna, Breanne, Thomas, Alex; K-9 companions, Ingvar, and Maggy May. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael; sisters, Ann Marie and Jeany; brother, John. Per Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place.
