Almarie was born on October 17, 1920 in Chancellor, SD, to Joel B. and Lilly (Fenske) Strasser. In the early 20's the Strasser family moved to Fairview, SD, where Joel and Lilly operated the General Store. Almarie met Glenn Ingebrigtson back in Fairview and was married on February 15, 1942, where they farmed until they retired. Three children were born to this union, Lorna, Donna, and Ronald. In 1960, Glenn and Almarie fostered a little girl, Lori, who became part of the family. Almarie was a longtime, faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a past Sunday School teacher, choir director and also played the organ and piano. Glenn and Almarie also enjoyed spending winter in Texas for many years.
