Carol Campbell

Carol Campbell, 73, of Lake Preston, SD, died Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Arlington, SD.

Carol Lacy was born to Charles and Myrtle (Jensen) Lacy at Livingston, Montana on August 16, 1942. She attended school in Lake Preston and later received her G.E.D. Carol had numerous working experiences including but not limited to waitressing at the Brookings Cafe, nurse's aide at the Kingsbury Memorial Manor where she was chosen "Employee of the Year", Falcon Plastic's Inc in Brookings, SD and was an employee of Shinamerican, Inc of De Smet, SD and a volunteer aide at the Lake Preston Public Schools. On June 3, 1994 she was united in marriage to Ronald G. Campbell at Lake Preston, SD.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ronald, five daughters, Valerie Ann, Sharie Lynn, Deborah Kaye, Darla Rae and Machelle Elaine, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one sister, Doris and a brother, Jim, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.

She is preceded in death by her parent, grandparents and one grandson.

Funeral services for Carol will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in De Smet, SD. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the church.

Carol requested that memorial be given to the Dollars for Scholars in Lake Preston.
