Charles Matthies Obituary
Sioux Falls - He was born in Sioux Falls on August 23rd, 1950 to Harvey and Josephine Matthies. His father was a roofer and Charley spent many a hot and balmy day toiling on the rooftops. He raised his four children: Chad Matthies, Caleb Matthies, Crystal Matthies and Caity Matthies in sunny California. Charley's passion was always with custom Harley Davidson motorcycles, and restoring classic cars. He worked at Bertolucci's Auto Body Shop in Sacramento for over 20 years.
He had great love and affection for his friends Don Freeman and Dave Kadinger who he had known growing up in Sioux Falls, part of the "Eastside Boys".
Charley's memory lives on in his grandchildren who he loved dearly: Chelsea, Richard, Madisen, Vanessa, Laura, Chad, Carissa, Elijah, Jordan, Cali, and Sailor. His kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are his greatest legacy. He loved his eldest daughter Randi Beth.
Charley Matthies died in an eastern Nebraska collision on Wednesday, January 16th. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Celebrate Community Church, 1000 S. Sycamore Ave., Sioux Falls.

Saying Good Bye to and New Old Friend is never easy.. from the time having to say so long after we moved you down to Arizona to your visit in August of 2015 to the last visit in which was the last Good Bye for ever of 01 / 2019 now you have all the time of the Universe to ride that Harley against the Whirl Wind....
