Karry Miller Obituary

Karry Miller

Karry Miller age 64 of Sioux Falls, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Karry Miller was born Karanne Kaye Lewis on March 10, 1952 in Winner, SD.

After graduating from Winner High School, Karry moved to Sioux Falls and started working at the Elks Club. She met Terry Miller while working there, and the two married on July 21, 1978. They were married for twenty nine years.

Karry was hard working woman. She worked at the Elks Club from 1978-1990. From 1990-2009 she worked for Hutchinson Technology. Karry became a residential instructor for Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare, and was employed there from 2009 to 2010. While she worked there, she became Med-Aide Certified for CPR. Karry began working at Casey's General Store in the food prep area in 2010, and remained employed there until she passed away.

Karry was devoted to her church. She was baptized while a member of Set Free Ministries in Sioux Falls. After the church reorganized, she joined Resurrection Pentecostal Church. She was an active member, and often helped out in their kitchen.

Karry will be forever remembered for her love of horses and cats. She held an affection for animals from a very early age. Karry could tell you the name and family history of all her horses, house cats, and even her farm cats.

She also was an avid gardener. She had a large garden in her backyard and another near her horses. She had a big heart, and often brought potatoes and produce that she had grown and canned to her friends, church family and various shelters in Sioux Falls. Many times she did this anonymously.

On Sunday, February 12, Karry passed away from the effects of an accidental house fire. Karry was 64 years of age.

Thankful for sharing Karry's life are the following: Dear friends- Ron and Cathi Costain (Baltic), Mari Duncan (Sioux Falls), and Lois Steensma (Sioux Falls), Step son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Hilary Tucker (Sioux Falls), two grandchildren- Ryan Jr and Meghan Tucker, and many friends from Set Free Ministries and Resurrections Pentecostal Congregation.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00am at the Resurrection Pentecostal Church in Sioux Falls.

The world has lost a good, good soul. Kind-hearted, an animal lover, a true friend to all her friends. I will remember her for the rest of my life. RIP, Dear Karry. You are missed more than you'll ever know.
