Scott Heisel Obituary
Scott Heisel, 36, Sioux Falls, SD, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, after contracting influenza and MRSA.
Following his graduation from Roosevelt High School, Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree and teaching certification from SDSU. He married Nicole Hardie in 2005. Scott taught chemistry, physical science, and physics at Canton High School, Canton, SD.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Nicole Heisel; sons, Prasten Heisel (8), and Zane Heisel, (4); parents, Jon and Deb Heisel; sister, Amanda Schochenmaier (Travis); brother, Nicholas Heisel; and grandmother, Wanda Heisel, all of Sioux Falls, SD; He is also survived by five nieces and one nephew. Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Pauline Ernesti; and paternal grandfather, Leo Heisel.
Mass of Resurrection will begin 1:00 pm Friday, March 7, 2014, at St. Michael Catholic Parish, 1600 S. Marion Road in Sioux Falls. Open visitation begins 2:00 pm Thursday at Miller West, 6200 W. 41st Street. The Rosary will be recited at 4:30, and the family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Thursday evening, also at Miller West.
