Kim Allen Klutz, 69, passed away peacefully at home following a brief illness. Raised in Boone, North Carolina, Kim excelled in sports during his time at Watauga High School, particularly in basketball. As an avid golfer, he cherished playing the sport with friends and family and spent joyful moments at the beach with his beloved wife, Sandy. Throughout his career, Kim served as Senior Vice President at Acorn Engineering Company in La Puenta, CA, before retiring. In his later years, he was an active member of Cedarbrook Golf Club in Elkin.
Kim is survived by his wife, Sandy Klutz; Sandy's children, Travis, Troy, Jena, and Lauren; his three children, Taylor Klutz and wife Jessica, Ashley Klutz Nativadad and husband Dane, and Tristan Klutz, all of Los Angeles, California. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jaxson Klutz, Taylor Klutz, and Cole Natividad, along with his sister, Paula Presnell and husband Rick of Boone, NC; brothers, Dana Klutz of Hickory, Scott Langstaff of Arizona, John Langstaff of Los Angeles, and Robert Langstaff of Nevada, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by his first wife, Corinne Klutz; his mother, Sandy Langstaff; his father and stepmother, Charles and Ruby Klutz; as well as his paternal grandparents, Paul and Juanita Klutz; and maternal grandparents, Ottie and Ollie Smith.
Kim loved nothing more than a good steak, engaging conversation, time spent with his grandsons, and a competitive golf match. Kim and wife Sandy enjoyed watching old movies together and trips to Pensacola Beach. They also cherished trips to their North Carolina home to catch a glimpse of the Fall leaves and a snowfall. A memorable day in Kim's life was on November 10, 2019, when he and Sandy attended a crusade where he dedicated his life to Christ.
Kim will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Miller Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made to www.millerfuneralservice.com
