Gary J. LePlavy, age 69 of Ashland, WI passed away Thursday, Nov 20, 2025 at Aspirus Saint Lukes Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born Feb 20, 1956 in Ashland, WI the son of James F. and Carol (Provost) LePlavy.
Gary was a meat cutter at various grocery stores in the Ashland area for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, berry picking, cooking, and canning. He was an avid fan of all Wisconsin sports teams and area youth sports. Spending time at his cabin with his sons and their families brought him great joy.
Survivors include his wife, Deb, of Ashland; sons: Matthew (Amy) of Iron River, WI, Sean (Kelcy) of Reeseville, WI, Nathan and Scott both of Ashland; grandchildren: Blake, Adalynn, Bryce, Logan, Mara, Mavie, Lucas, Haydin & Callen; brothers: David (Jorie) of Afton, MN & Peter (Carol) of Hopkins, MN; sister: Lori (Richard) Przybylo of Ashland and his mother: Carol LePlavy of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his father, James LePlavy.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
