James Watson Obituary
James "Jim" Robert Watson, age 64, of Ashland, passed away, Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born June 15, 1959 in Ashland, the son of Arlington "A. David" and Beatrice "Babe" (Carlson) Watson.
Jim graduated in 1977 from Ashland High School. He married the love of his life, Lynn Pufall on February 10, 1996 in Ashland. Jim worked as a mechanic for the city of Ashland for several years, and was known for his talent with all things mechanical and as "a guy who could fix anything." Before working with the city he drove semi for many years and had many fun stories about his travels on the road.
Jim loved fishing and hunting. He would often relax out on the patio or at the cabin with his cherished life-long friends. Jim also had a soft side for his close friends, families, and for animals.
He is survived by his daughter, Jalyn Watson of Superior; and many other extended relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lynn in 2014; brother, Dave Watson; and as sister, Anne Yonkovich.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Frost Funeral Home in Ashland. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Inurnment will be held 10 am, Monday, August 7th at the Mt. Hope cemetery in Ashland.
