Lloyd Koosmann Obituary
Lloyd H Koosmann, age 90, of Ashland, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, at Memorial Medical Center, in Ashland. He was born February 26, 1932, in Mellen, the son of William and Frieda (Bonitz) Koosman.
He was a graduate of Holloway High School, in Holloway, MN and then served in the US Army. On June 15, 1963, he married Mary Levelius, in Mellen. For many years, he was the purchasing agent for Bretting Manufacturing, in Ashland. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Ashland. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Lloyd was an avid Brewer and Packer fan and loved going to Packer games.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, David; four grandchildren, Nicole Dupree, Kristine Yerger, Brooke Koosmann, and Logan Koosmann; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Quinn, and Brady; two brothers, Kenneth Koosmann and Donald (Annette) Koosmann; five sisters, Shirley Heglund, Sylvia Heglund, Ruth Josephson, Leila Bernard, and Joyce Kaseno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norbert Koosmann.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Mellen, with Pastor Arleigh Von Seggern officiating. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Cozy Valley. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
