Alan Hines Obituary

ALAN LEE HINES Alan Lee Hines, 63 years old, of Wichita, KS formerly of Lancaster, KS died on Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home in Wichita. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm on Sat. June 21st, 2025, at the Lancaster Church of Faith with Rev. Seth Montgomery officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Lancaster Church of Faith and they may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home which is handling the arrangements. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. Alan was born on June 11, 1961, in Horton, KS, the son of Milton F. and Patricia A. (Lord) Hines. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1979 and farmed with his dad prior to moving to Wichita in 1982. He attended college in Wichita. Alan worked as the Senior Telecom Engineer for Wesley Medical Center, Wichita for over 38 years. He was a member of the Lancaster Church of Faith, Alan enjoyed all sports, especially watching his beloved Steelers. Survivors include his sister Linda Bodenhausen, Muscotah, KS, nephew Ryan (Kayla) Bodenhausen, Muscotah, KS, niece Jeni (Bob) Hespe, Overland Park, KS, great nephews and nieces, Tommy & Luke Hespe, and Brinley & Bryer Bodenhausen. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Mike Bodenhausen.

I know Alan from Wesley Medical Center, He was a very kind man and will be missed, it broke my heart to hear the news, may his soul rest in peace.
