Michael Denton Obituary

MICHAEL KENNETH DENTON Michael Kenneth Denton, 71, of Atchison, Kansas died February 3, 2025, at KU Medical in Kansas City, KS, surrounded by his family.  A visitation with family and friends will be held 6 pm-8 pm, Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Atchison Humane Society, Atchison, KS. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com  Michael was born July 6, 1953, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of Kenneth and Rosalie (Lawrence) Denton. He married Tina White on Aug. 12, 2007, and she survives at home. Mike was a proud member of the Kansas City, MO Iron Workers Local 10. He is considered a Legend Ironworker by his peers, which his friends and family were very proud of. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, boats, hot rod cars, coaching little league, beaches, and anything that meant spending time in the water.   He is survived by his wife Tina, daughter, Heather Denton, son, Michael (Molly) Denton, four grandchildren, Abrie Handke, Kaden Handke, Owen Denton, and Nora Denton, stepson, Kevin Berning, stepdaughter, Jamie Berning, brothers, Duane (Mary Cashin) Denton, Shayne (Laura) Denton, Iron Worker brothers and his special furry friend Fluffy Denton.
