PAUL DENIS SWEIGART Paul Denis Sweigart, 71, of Winchester, KS died unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Amberwell Health, Atchison, KS. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sat. August 3, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Cochran officiating. Cremation services by Becker-Dyer-Stanton. A Flag presentation will follow by the Atchison Funeral Honors Team. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association and may be sent to the care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. Paul was born on June 20, 1953, in Clinton, MO, the son of Donald G. and Patricia (Pawley) Sweigart. Paul served in the United States Navy. He worked for many places including as a driver for Deffenbaugh Waste Management Company for many years. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was married to Brenda Kay Robinson on Oct. 12, 1983. They were later divorced. Survivors include a son Derek (Laura) Sweigart, Potter, KS, a daughter Desiree (Juan) Gonzales, Fond Du Lac, WI, a brother Phillip Sweigart, and a sister Mary Catherine Sweigart, both of Springfield, MO, six grandchildren Ana, Jay, Rita, Paul, Brianna, and Axton, and five great-grandchildren Mazia, Mateo, Jaliyahi, Joellz, and Paisley. His parents and a son Paul Donald "Donny" Sweigart preceded him in death.
