Dexter Conrad Obituary
Dexter was an avid sports fan, especially of the Bengals, Reds, and Buckeyes. He was a member of the Greater Works Outreach Worship Center in Nelsonville. Dexter was a graduate of Nelsonville-York High School and Hocking College. He was a retired health inspector for the Athens City and County Health Department. He enjoyed relaxing by fishing, playing cards, and painting ceramics - specifically Santa Claus figures.
Dexter is survived by his siblings, Candace Ellison of Pataskala, Toni (A.J.) Saunders of Columbus, and Mike (Mary) Conrad of Logan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul P. "Big" Conrad, Brett Conrad, and Bart Conrad; and sisters, Marcia Primes, Linda McDonald, and Debbie Hinton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Ronald M. Chunn officiating. Family and friends may visit from 1 to 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Dexter to Greater Works Outreach Worship Center, 200 Fort Street, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764.
