Garnet Engle Obituary
Garnet was a member of the Sereno Chapter #128 OES in McArthur, the McArthur Red Hat Matrons and several other community organizations over the years. She was an avid horse lover, gardener and enjoyed spending quality time with her beloved family.
Garnet is survived by her daughter, Lisa Graves of McArthur; granddaughters, Ashley (Josh) Ervin of New Plymouth and Allison (Alex) Graves-Fowler of Carthage, New York; four step-granddaughters; great-grandchildren, Rhone Fowler, Canyon Ervin and future great-granddaughter, Alayna Fowler; several step-great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Morgan of Athens; brother-in-law, William Herron of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John D. "Jack" Murphy and Frank M. Murphy, and sisters, Ann Herron and Helen Eversberg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Elder Chuck Fri officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service where an Eastern Star service will be held at 1 p.m. and a Red Hat service will immediately follow.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Garnet Engle to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or to the First Christian Church, c/o Barb Radekin, 217 N. Pearl St., McArthur, Ohio 45651.

Gene, Lisa and girls, just hoping your all during okay during your incredible loss. Garnet was such a beautiful women she was always good to me, you could count on her and her beautiful sisters to be there for baby showers, weddings graduation. Garnet shared my love of horses. Many of our conversations started by discussions about horses, we did little trail riding. She was a much better rider than me. My fondest memory is her turning in her saddle, smiling, checking to make sure I was still there. Yes dear lady. I am still here. Ride on to your Heavenly reward. I will meet you there.
