Mary Cox

1939 - 2022

Glouster Mary E. Cox, 83, of California, MO formerly of Glouster, OH passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at her daughter's residence. She was born on May 30, 1939 in Glouster, OH the daughter of Thurman and Bernice (Vore) Smith both of who preceded her in death. She was later married to James E. Cox who also preceded her in death in 1994. Mary worked for Goodyear Tire Manufacturing in Logan, OH for many years and also owned The Sandwich Shop in Glouster, OH. She loved taking care of her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed berry picking, canning and was a wonderful cook. Mary is survived by her brother, David Smith (Carol), her daughter, Susan Kusgen of the home; three sons, David Cox (Renda) of Columbus, OH, Tom Cox (Sherry) and Bob Cox (Kelly) both of Glouster, OH; 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, John Cox, Doug Cox and Rick Canter also daughter Lura Cox. There are no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
