Virgil Smith Obituary
Delbert was born September 30, 1934, in Delaware, Ohio to Virgil Anthony Smith and Lucille Edith Barnett Smith. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Lake Logan Bass Club; and retired from Selkirk Metalbestos.
Surviving are his son Dane "Haydenville" (Mary) Smith of Logan; granddaughter Jennifer (Aaron) Guisinger of Lancaster; and his significant other, Linda Mouser.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Smith, who passed away August 1, 2008; son Delbert Casey Smith; brother Carl Barnett; and sister Carrie Bell Watkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday July 22, 2022, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
Calling hours will be observed 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
