Raj Malhotra Obituary
Raj arrived in America from New Delhi, India, with his mother, father and brother in 1958. They landed in Larned, Kansas, but eventually lived in many places all over the United States. He graduated from Blaine Senior High School in Blaine, Washington in 1962. He received a Bachelors of Arts in English in 1966 from Pittsburg State University, in Kansas. In 1970 he returned to India to pursue an acting career and starred in a few Bollywood films including, Dastak (1970), which translates to "The Knocking" and Zarooat (1972) which means "The Need". While in India, he married Madhu Kapoor and in 1972, they moved to the United States.
He was married for 17 years and is survived by; his brother, Ashok Malhotra; daughter, Michelle Clark; son, Robert Malhotra; and grandchildren, Orion and Maya Clark. He is predeceased by his father, Dr. Jagadish C. Malhotra, and his mother Sumitra R. Malhotra. Raj was a high school English teacher for Mason County, West Virginia public schools. He was an avid musician and played the guitar at many live shows in Athens, Ohio. He was a writer, poet and had a passion for art.
Services will be private with interment in Zerkle Cemetery, Letart, WV.

Hi, So sorry to hear of Raj's passing. I knew him from my job as a cab driver for Green Cab a couple of years ago. I greatly enjoyed talking to him each and every time that I had the pleasure of giving him a ride. I hope that he was able to finish the memoir.
