Harry F. Duel Jr.

ATHOL, MA - Harry F. Duel Jr., 66, formerly of Concord Street, died on December 6, 2022 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.

Born in Athol on March 28, 1956, he was the son of the late Harry F. Sr. and Mary Duel.

Harry was very family oriented and volunteered for many years on the Orange Fire Department. He had also delivered newspapers for the Athol Daily News for years.

Harry would give the shirt off his back to someone in need even if he didn't know you. Harry was always there to help people in need.

Harry made friends no matter where he went and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include two sisters, Deborah Slatter of Turners Falls and Lois Duel of Orange; two nieces, Tammy Hubbard and Melissa Choquette, both of Orange; five nephews, Andy Brileya and Randy Brileya, both of Turners Falls, Joe Dzeima Jr. of Illinois, Dennis Dzeima and Richard Dzeima, both of Athol.

Harry's father died on October 11, 2009 and his mother on December 16, 2012.

Services will be private.

Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
