Leon Nicoliello Obituary
ORANGE, MA - Sr. MSGT Leon Nicoliello "Nick"(Retired USAF), 82, passed away February 23, 2024.
He was born May 2, 1941 in Montague MA to the late Leon and Billie (Robinson) Nicoliello.
Predeceased by both parents, sister Rosemary Tatro and brother Bill. Also recently preceded by his beloved wife of 60 years, Janice. They lived a life of devotion to one another and to their family. Together they raised three children. Leon is survived by his children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild with another on the way.
Leon was a proud Veteran serving 25 years with the Air Force. He traveled the world in this capacity. He also worked as a Government inspector at Pratt and Whitney. Following his discharge he worked as a locksmith for Springfield College. Upon his full retirement he and his wife moved to North Orange. It was there that he pursued his passion of being a gentleman's farmer. He volunteered extensively for his community serving in many different roles. Hobbies included maple sugaring, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and was an avid golfer.
Leon will be greatly missed by daughters, Myra Lyne and husband John of Norwell MA, Joy Beaudet and husband Robert of Belchertown MA, and son Mario Nicoliello and wife Julie of Ware MA; Grandchildren, Sean, Aidan, Haley, Miranda, Jonathan, Sarah, and James, and great grandson Thomas.
There will be no calling hours.
A private ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon MA.
