Adelaide Light Obituary

LIGHT, Adelaide On Thursday, March 26, 2015, Ms. Adelaide L. Elliott Light, age 100 passed away peacefully at Westbury Nursing Home with her family around her. She was born on December 9, 1914 at "The White House" in the Whitehouse Community on Kelleytown Road. She was the daughter of Millie Kibbee and Hiram Elliott. Adelaide was a Tri Delta at Brenau Women's College during the depression; she was one of few women that had her pilot's license. She married Frank Light and lived in Massachusetts and Florida for many years before returning to live at the White House in 1980. After Frank Light's death, she was married to Ralph Bowen. She leaves behind her nephew, Henry Kibbee Elliott, Jr., his wife, JoAnne Elliott of Buford, GA; niece, Millie Rodes; 2 great nieces, Debbie Elliott, of Suwanee, GA and Holly Elliott Redeker of Gainesville, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Kelley Presbyterian Church with Herman Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Kelley Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Kelley Presbyterian Church. Those who wish may sign the on-line guest registry at www.cannonclevelandfunerals.com.
