Albert William "Bert"
Bert Bauer passed away in the early morning hours on June 20, 2025. He spent 40+ years in social service mostly at Grady Memorial Hospital and in military service with the 3rd Medcom. He advocated and cared for those with PTSD while also suffering from it himself. He was a man that felt deeply, and it came out in many ways. His service will be at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Monday, November 3, at 10 AM, with a reception to follow. He is survived by his son, Albert "Bret" Edward Bauer; daughter, Sarah Babin Bauer; and five grandchildren.

Hi to Bret and Sally. I met your father at Georgia Regional Hospital when we worked together. He was always a warm and friendly person who helped me learn my way around the system. I met both of you so many years ago that you would never remember me but I did want you to know that I appreciated your dad's sense of humor and mischief and his caring for patients both in and out of the hospital.
