1972 - 2017

NETHERTON, Andrew James Andrew James Netherton, passed away peacefully and without warning at his home in Lawrenceville on August 28, 2017. Andrew's dog, Max, was resting lovingly at his feet. Andrew, age 45, was born in Danville, Illinois on January 15, 1972. He was predeceased by his little sister, Julie Kays Netherton; his aunt Creola Kuyrkendall and his uncle, Capt. James G. Kays. Andrew is survived by his loving parents, Lloyd and Betty Kays Netherton of Dunwoody; his older brother and sister-in-law, Cass and Laura Netherton of Peachtree Corners; and Andrew's most precious and loved niece and nephew, Ava Netherton and Eli Netherton. Andrew is also survived by many loving and caring aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Andrew graduated from Montgomery Elementary and Chamblee High School. He attended University of Georgia and was an avid UGA football fan, with his basement a bulldog heaven. Andrew was the co-owner with his brother of Revell Sports Flooring and Netherton Enterprises which does business in SC and GA. Although he worked hard and long hours, he was all about family unity and brotherly love. Andrew was a loyal friend that loved to read and was always swapping books with one of his best friend's, his father. If he wasn't at the shooting range he was taking immaculate care of one of his cars, cooking, grilling out, calling and spending time with his parents. He was a kind and thoughtful son that will be sorely missed, but because of God's grace, Andrew is with his heavenly Father and by far in a more glorious and peaceful place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CURE Childhood Cancer in Andrew's name to help fight the devastating disease that eventually took his sister's life. Josh Amerson officiating. Inurnment will be held at Arlington Memorial Park on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11 am.
