Ann Gainey has been a constant presence in my life. Growing up at Oakhurst, her music fed my soul every week. She even let me turn the pages one (but only one!) Sunday. When I got married, she gave me a wonderful cookbook, so she continued to feed me with thoughts of her every time I use it.
While she was able, my mother (Jackie Marshall) would go to Thomasville to gather pecans with Ann and Pat. Those visits were a joy to Mother, and those pecans created lots of loving goodness!
Whenever I spoke to her on the phone, I could feel the joy she had for life. She will be in my heart forever.
