Barry Herron Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
HERRON, Barry Barry E. Herron of Marietta, Georgia passed away on March 2nd, 2010. Barry was born in Chicago, lllinois in 1933. He grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he attended Franklin High School and graduated from Iowa State University in Civil Engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Barry moved to Georgia in the early 60's where he began a 50 year career in the commercial lighting industry. He was a football referee with Atlanta Area Football Officials' Association for 35 years. He leaves behind many cherished friends and business associates. His survivors include two sons; Bryan Herron of Norcross; David Herron of Decatur; two grandchildren, Grace and Mac of Norcross; and daughter-in-law, Kara of Norcross. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice Atlanta or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The family is having a private service at Georgia National Cemetery. Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel.

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to Barry's family. My father, Kermit J. Dubbels and my AUnt Janice Frommelt were related. I am Kermit's oldesty daughter Diane. I had herad from my father that Barry had passed away. I was always hoping to get to Georgia to see Barry. We had corresponded in Christmas cards that it would be nice to go out there and visit. I had not seen Barry since my parents 50th wedding anniversary when he came to their party. It was good seeing him. He will be missed. I will miss him.
