Family-Placed Death Notice
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church for Mr. Ben H. Carter, Sr., 81, of Gainesville who died Thursday April 13, 2006. Interment will be in the Alta Vista Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the 3rd Century Campaign c/o the First Baptist Church, 751 Green Street, Gainesville, GA. 30501. Survivors include his wife Daisy Gibson Carter, Gainesville; Son and Daughter-in-law, Chuck and Trish Carter, Gainesville; Daughter and Son-in-law; Beth and Randy McKellar, Argyle, Texas; Grandchildren; Christopher Carter and Lauren Carter, both of Gainesville; Stephanie, Alex, Nick and Zach McKellar, all of Argyle, Texas. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you say good-bye to Ben over the next several hours. He deeply loved you all, and I remember many fond hours spent visiting in your home as a child. I remember him being bigger than life!, he was always busy, had endless meetings to attend, and was extremely civic-minded.
