Katie,
When I heard about Billy I couldn't believe he was no longer here. I
remember all the good times Hugh and I shared with both of you when we worked together. Some days it seems like yesterday and others seem like an eternity. I wonder what Billy and Hugh are doing in Heaven together.
Some day we will know and rejoice in the Lord with them.

To the friends and family of Mr. Billy Cannon: As others have said I cannot express the profound sadness I felt when I heard of Mr. Cannon's passing. He was a force and a presence at BAPCO in a way that won't be seen again. He touched many lives, and he was never too busy to offer a smile and greeting. God bless you and keep you.

Kaye- Billy was a special man to so many. BAPCO has lost a legend this week. I feel so fortunate that our paths crossed for so many years. I have so many great memories of my days while I was working for Don Perozzi and Tammy and Teresa were working for Mr. Cannon. I will continue to keep you both close to my heart. May God be with you and Diesel during this time. Love, Linda

Bill was a true mentor, teacher and friend. My best days were working for Billy and Dick at BAPCO. They both taught me so much. Kaye, I'm glad I had the opportunity to see you and Bill in BR. His smile will shine on forever.

Dear Kaye:
A truly great man is no longer with us. He made so many people feel like they were part of his family. He was the end of a great era when he retired from BAPCO because he knew the business inside and out and was truly a "people person". He always knew that there were people with families behind the headcount numbers. He could tell you that you weren't going to get what you asked for and still make you feel great about it. What charisma he had. He will be missed! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Kaye & Diesel- Sandy and I have known Billy at least 35 years, and have known you both since the early 80's in Blowing Rock. I will never forget Billy cutting his lip while lifting my mattress up stairs, and my asking for his assurance that he didn't bleed all over my new carpet. Then you took over the furnishing with Billy supervising as usual. Our visits to Blowing Rock will never be the same without my buddy, but then I would have never known about BR without him.In all the years I have known Billy-- ie working with him , for him, and leisure time in BR, I have never met a nicer and more positive man (except when he was canoeing down the Chatooga River).Sandy and I hope to see lots of you and Diesel in BR,and hope you'll take us to Woodlawn to visit Billy. Our prayers are with you and the family to help ease your pain.Love Sandy, Jerry, Cali, & Misty.

It was with deep sadness that I heard about Billy's passing. He was truly an inspiration to me when I first came to BAPCO, and he continued to offer encouragement and enlightenment over the years. He was always someone who could walk into a room and lift us up when things were going tough - and he was the first to congratulate us when we had a win. Kaye, you are such a beautiful person, and I pray that God will ease your pain with all the wonderful memories you have. Heaven has another angel now!

So sorry to hear of your lost. The Bible offers comfort to those who are grieving after losing a loved ones. Psalms 37:29 says, "The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will rside forever upon it. The bible also assures that the Almighty have the power and desire to resurrect those whom he chooses. Therefore it is imperative that we draw close to Jehovah through prayer, and the Bible promises that "he himself will sustain you" Psalm 55:22

April 30, 2007

May you find comfort at this time of sorrow in the scrpture at Psalms 37:29. The righteous themselves will possess the and they will reside forever upon it.

Dear Kaye,

It's with such great sadness, and yet the fondest of memories that I have heard of Billy's passing. He was a great gentleman and inspiration to all of us at BAPCO, and with him at the helm, it was a great time to be there. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with
you both and for him. My love and prayers are with you, and I know with your spirit and strength, you will carry on, and Billy will smile down upon you from Heaven.

Dear Kaye and Diesel, I am still in
shock over Bill's death. He was a unique individual with a gift for
bringing out the positive in everyone he met. To me he was always, "Mr. Yellow Pages"! I will never forget the kindness you showed my mom when we were at the President's Club. She thought the
world of you both. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Take Care.
Love, Dennis

Dearest Kaye, Teresa, & Tracy, My heart is broken for your loss. I couldn't be sadder if we were "blood". Billy was everything to me throughout my career at BellSouth and beyond. There are so many wonderful memories of all of you all through the years, both professional and personal. You are family, always have been, always will be. I know Billy is with our Lord in Heaven, and we will see him again. God used Bill to touch so many lives in such positive ways. His rewards will be great. I will miss him and hold on to the truth that he will be waiting in Heaven with the biggest smile ever. Kaye, thank you for your friendship and your constant caring for Bill. You were his world. Teresa, "my little sister", you were your Dad's pride and joy and nothing could have brought him more blessings than you, Tracy, Christian and Anna. I love you and will continue to keep you in my prayers. God be with you.

Kaye, I read of Billy's passing with great sadness but also with very fond memories of you and him. He was a very special person and he will be greatly missed but I know he is home now with our heavenly father. I know both of you are strong and faithful Christians and so you know and believe we will see him again one day and we will. Deepest sympathy and love to you and the family.

Dear Kaye:
As you can see everyone loved and respected, Billy, or Sweet William as I used to call him just to make him angry! Kaye, you were the best thing that ever happened to my friend and I'm sure he shared those sentiments with you daily over the years. Thank you for your prayers and support over the past nine months and please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts daily. God bless,

Mr. Cannon was the favorite VP at BAPCO. You could count on his smile
and a cordial greeting from him each time he saw you.

Bill was one of those unique individuals that could make you feel like a million bucks with a kind word and a smile. On the flip side you always knew when you didn't live up to his expectations as well. Bill was a close friend, a boss and a counselor. I miss him since he retired and I will miss him more in the future. I just hope the next time I meet with Bill, and rest assured there will be a next time, Saint Peter hasn't put him in charge of the Posting Board of life. I would rather it be someone not quite as good with numbers as Bill.

Kaye, our thoughts and prayers remain with you.

I will truly miss Billy T. He was a special person who believed in me. Kaye, you know both of you are special to me and always will be. I never saw both of you without smiles and laughter. My prayers go out to you and the family during this difficult time. I know Billy is singing with the angels and my dad as well. Be strong and know you are loved by lots of folks.

Kaye, I cannot find the right words to express the deep sadness I felt upon receiving the news of Billy's passing Friday evening. I hope you know how much I care for you both. I would not have had the success at BellSouth that I've achieved over the years without Bill--I owe him everything for that. Thankfully, there are still many of us at BAPCO to share our happiest and greatest "Billy stories", as well as our fond memories of the time we spent with him over the years. I also have many old photos from my Sales days in the Carolinas to preserve his memory, which I hope to share with you soon. You and "D" are in my heart and prayers, just as you have been over the past weeks and months. I hope the wonderful memories you have of all your time together with Billy, will sustain you for years and years to come... Love, Mackie

Billy,

You embodied what kindness and goodness truly is. I was one of the many priviledged individuals that worked with you and also shared some good times with you and Kaye. You will forever have a place in my Heart.

Billy T. (Daddy). I am still in shock and so sad. I will never forget the times you would return to the office and yell "Daddy's home". You believed in me and helped to get me where I am today. You and Kaye were always so gracious to me and my family and could light up a room with those smiles and laughter. You will be truly missed but never forgotten.

My heart is heavy at the loss of such a wonderful man. He was the best boss I ever had and truly a good friend. His zest for life and his exuberant spirit were contagious. Even though sad, I can't help but smile at the many memories I'm left with...that smile as he boomed around the corner heading to my desk to see what kind of messages or mail I had waiting for him. He was a man full of compassion and generosity. He treated all..from the top rank down to the clerk...the very same...with respect, always. I am blessed to have shared space with him. My love to Kaye and Diesel and the entire family.

With much sympathy to the Cannon Family. I would like to say Mr. Cannon was one of the few folks at BellSouth who made me feel warm and welcomed everytime I was in his presence. He always made time to speak and say something nice, I appreciated his kindess and his good cheer everyday. Mr. Cannon was also one who I could count on for a great smile and word of encouragement just because. He was a man who loved his family and I admired that about him. I know he will be missed for he was a man with a heart of Gold!!

Bill Cannon you were "Bigger Than Life For Me!" I never knew you outside of work, but I can believe you had it going in your life! Your Beautiful Wife Kaye and Family...and the desire to always do the right thing. I will always remember your Big Heart and Winning Smile! They never faltered. You are in "God's Country Now!" Rest Peacefully! I will always remember you and Kaye as I remember the many hikes I have made and will continue to make in the beautiful forests of Western North Carolina. "Blowing Rock" is God's Country! "Blowing Rock" is Your Resting Place!
