Bryan Redd Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
REDD, Bryan, Jr., M.D. Bryan Lafayette Redd, Jr., M.D., age 84, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010. He was a graduate of Cumming High School, North Georgia College and the Medical College of Georgia. His residencies were in several western states. Dr. Redd practiced radiation oncology at Emory and in Atlanta. He possessed a lifelong love of wood working. Survivors include his wife, Arla Redd of Decatur; children, Ellen and Jim McKenzie of Lawrenceville, Laura Redd of Decatur, Doug and Gena Redd of Sandy Springs, Madelyn and Barry Shepard of Tucker, Barbara and Chris Collins of Decatur and Lafe and Bonnie Redd of Grass Valley, CA; sisters, Mahala Duncan and Mary Ann Crews both of Bluffton, SC; 13 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Deckard officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 18th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements. Though many years have passed since I last had contact with Bryan, I recall his compassionate concern for my patients that I referred to him for therapy. Despite his personal health limitations,he carried forth although I feel his wonderful career was no doubt shortened by this.

Hey! We are sorry to hear about Uncle Bryan. We understand that he is in a better place. He is now able to walk, feed himself and do the things that he hasn't done in a long time. We're sorry that we are unable to attend the funeral. Love to all, Chuck, Judy & Heather
