Carol Ballance Obituary
Carol Kendall Ballance, of Atlanta, affectionately known as "Mahnie," passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, surrounded by family. Carol's warmth, intelligence, and adventurous spirit defined a life filled with faith, service, family, and friendship.
She is survived by her husband, Harry; children Katie Ballance Muir, Laura Ballance May, and Harry G. Ballance III; sons- and daughters-in-law; grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marthe Ballance Wolff; her mother, Edwardine Petersen; and stepfather, Donald Petersen.
Visitation: Friday, July 18, 5-7 PM, H.M. Patterson – Oglethorpe Hill Chapel.
Funeral: Saturday, July 19, 11 AM, Northwest Presbyterian Church, followed by reception and graveside service at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carol K. Ballance Family Foundation, c/o Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway, Suite 220, Duluth, GA 30097.

To Harry and each survivor of Carol:
Harry, for so many of us fellow aviators and Delta Golden Wings, Inc members; you and your families have our love and sympahy in this loss of one so loved. Yes, it is a time in our lives where day after day, someone we know loses a loved one - God's Plan! But our sympathies come to each of you, knowing that in the days and years ahead, each of you will remember this "beautiful lady, Carol." The abundant things she has said and done for each of you is something you will never forget. I send this tribute as secretary of Delta Golden Wings, Inc. the official Delta pilot retirement organization.
