I'm so very sorry to hear about Cary'S passing. I knew her when we were kids riding at Westminster stables and we were in the Vinings babysitting co-op together for a short time. I ran into her a few years ago at a horse event and got to watch her ride.

Cary and I were co-leaders of the Lovett School's Cub Scout group when our boys were in 2nd/3rd grade. I was so very sorry to read about her passing. My deepest sympathy to her children, Elizabeth and William, and to her extended family.

I am so saddened by Cary's passing. I am a frequent customer at the Vining's Piece of Cake. Though I was just a customer, I feel like I've lost a great friend.

She excelled in any task that was laid in front of her. 5 of us horsey ladies joined a trail ride back in 2005 in Warm Springs, GA, a day of laughter, horse fun and great Bar-B-Q..always quick to smile with a fantastic wit about her...paradise is where you are now in GOD's Hands. I first met Cary in May 1980 during a boondoggle Vandy Maymester course called Oceanography. The boondoggle piece was a week trekking around the gulf coast supposedly doing oceanography -type things. We started in NOLA and ended in PC..... with 6 days in between filled with pretty much everything except oceanography -type stuff. There were probably 15 -20 of us with a couple of chaparones and Cary quickly assumed top rebel in charge. We became fast friends and it was a week of laughter I wll never forget. After Vandy, we saw each other occasionally. She actually showed up in a bar where I was working in London and I made it to her wedding. But as life and careers and families took hold, our contact became one or two catch up calls a year... She was always the same, quick with a joke and full of life. She will be missed. God Bless and God Speed and prayers for her family.
